 PENGERTIAN

INDRA PENGECAP Sebagian besar lidah tersusun atas otot

Lidah adalah kumpulan otot rangka
pada bagian dasar mulut yang dapat
membantu pencernaan dengan mengunyah
dan menelan.
Lidah dikenal sebagai indra pengecap,
selain berfungsi sebagai indra pengecap,
lidah juga turut membantu dalam tindakan
berbicara.
rangka yang terletak pada tulang hioid, tulang
rahang bawah, dan processus styloideus di
tulang pelipis.
Selaput lendir (membran mukosa) pada
lidah selalu lembab dan pada waktu sehat
berwarna merah muda.
Lidah memiliki kelenjar ludah yang
menghasilkan air ludah dan enzim amilase
(ptialin), enzim ini berfungsi untuk mengubah
zat tepung (amilum) menjadi zat gula.

Tulang hioid : merupakan tulang penggerak lidah yang terletak di pangkal leher di antara otot-otot leher.

Kelenjar ludah atas terdapat dibelakang telinga dan kelenjar ludah bawah terdapat di bagian bawah lidah.

Tunas pengecap merupakan badan ovoid yang berukuran 50-70

mikro meter. Tiap tunas pengecap dibentuk oleh empat jenis
sel,mempunyai mikrofili yang menonjol kedalam pori pengecap
(lubang dalam pori lidah).tunas pengecap terletak dalam mukosa
epigiotis, palatum,faring dan didalam dinding papila fungiformis dan
papila vallate lidah, ada lima tunas pengecap setiap papila
fungiformis dan biasanya terletak pada puncak papila, papila
vallate lebih besar dan mengandung sampai 100 tunas
pengecapan yang terletak sepanjang sisi papila
