EFEK FARMAKOLOGI
Emulsi cair per oral Oleum olivarium sering dimanfaatkan untuk
mengurangi tingkat kolesterol darah dan oksidasi kolesterol LDL,
yang berujung pada pengurangan risiko penyakit jantung (Bagigo,
2013). Minyak Zaitun juga dapat digunakan untuk mencegah
kanker, artritis, migrain, dan konstipasi. Selain itu, Oleum
olivarium juga dapat mempengaruhi reaksi inflamasi,mekanisme
hipertensi dan vasodilatasi (Keys, et al., 1986), karena adanya
kandungan asam oleat, vitamin E, dan oleuropein, yaitu senyawa
yang dapat memengaruhi oksidasi partikel LDL (Cony, et al., EFEK FARMAKOLOGI
