unemployment benefits.

The Expanded Maternity Benefits
-The maternity leave benefit is available to a female SSS
member who:

- If the notice of sickness or injury was filed after 5
days, the confinement shall be deemed to have
started not earlier than the 5th
day immediately preceding the date of notification.
Note:
-If the SSS member is unemployed or self-
employed, he shall directly notify the SSS of
his confinement within 5 calendar days after the
star thereof.
