Pendahuluan merupakan bab pertama dari karya tulis yang berisi

jawaban apa dan mengapa penelitian itu perlu dilakukan. Bagian ini
memberikan gambaran mengenai topik penelitian yang hendak disajikan.
oleh karna itu, pada bab pendahuluan memuat latar belakang masalah,
rumusan masalah, dan tujuan penelitian.

Bagian ini memuat jawaban atas pertanyaan “ mengapa penelitian ini perlu
dilakukan?”
Pada bagian ini penulis harus menguraikan apa yang menjadi
ketertarikannya pada objek yang diteliti. Oleh karena itu, kepekaan untuk
memerhatikan fenomena- fenomena yang mutakhir di bidang yang sedang
ditekuni menjadi kebutuhan.
Penulisan bagian latar belakang sendiri dapat dimulai dengan:
1. Sesuatu yang telah diketahui bersama
2. Pertanyaan retoris yang dapat mengantarkan pembaca pada masalah
atau topik yang akan ditulis.
3. Sebuah kutipan,ungkapa atau slogan yang selanjutnya dihubungkan

Rumusan Masalah
◉ Bagian ini memuat atas pertanyaan " apa yang menonjol dari maslah atau topik
tersebut "
◉ Rumusan masalah merupakan upaya untuk menyatakan secara tersurat pertanyaan –
pertanyaan yang akan dicari jawabannya dalam penelitian.
◉ Rumusan masalah hendaknya disusun secara singkat, padat, jelas, dan dituangkan
dalam bentuk tanya.
◉ Rumusan masalah hendaknya dapat diuji secara empiris dalam arti memungkinkan
dikumpulkannya data untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang diajukan

Tujuan Penelitian

Bagian ini memuat jawaban atas pertanyaan “ apakahtujuan kita mengangkat masalah
atau topik tersebut?”
Tujuan penelitian mengungkapkan tentang sasaran yang igin dicapai dengan
dilakukannya penelitian terhadap masalah yang telah dikemukakan sebelumnya
dalam rumusan masalah.
Isi dan rumusan pada bagian tujuan ini mengacu kepada isi dan rumusan masalah
penelitian dan diungkapkan dengan bentuk pernyataan.
