SAMPLING
Referring to the concept of research a sample is a group of items which
includes object, people that are taken from a larger population for
measurements. Its one of the most important factor in determining the
accuracy of research.
Techniques of
sampling
The technique of sampling is grouped into two categories as Probability
Sampling And NON Probability sampling techniques.
Systematic sampling is an
extended implementation of the
same old probability technique in
which each member of the group is
selected at regular periods to form
Cluster Random Sampling
Cluster random sampling is a way to
randomly select participants when they
are geographically spread out.
Our frame
Step should include
2 > DETERMINE a sample
A SUITABLE SAMPLEfrom your population of interest and
FRAME
no one from outside in order to collect accurate data.
When the sampling bias has to be reduced : This sampling method is used
when the sampling selection has to be minimum. The selection of the sample
largely determines the quality of the research’s inference. How researchers select
their sample largely determines the quality of a researcher’s findings.
Advantages of probability
sampling
Cost effective > This process saves
cost and time to a great extent
