 Verizon Wireless Inc. is a leader in providing telecommunication products and
services in the US. The company offers voice and data services to 51.3 million
customers throughout the US
 It is a joint venture with Vodafone..

 It was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Bedminster, New Jersey.

 Verizon Wireless has progressed dramatically to shift from narrowband to


broadband services; hence transforming from a traditional telephone company
into a provider of full-service communications networks that deliver high-speed,
mobile connectivity
 Mission

 As a leader in communications, Verizon's mission is to enable people and


businesses to communicate with each other.

 To provide customers with the highest level of satisfaction by offering


quality products and services.

 Verizon clearly applies the MARS model in its strive to create and maintain a

requiring extended, and additional skills within the workforce.

 Expansion in markets outside the US, especially in the


developing countries

 International presence serving long distance voice and


data demand of other “globalized” companies

 Developing new services due to customer demand for high


speed data services, and applications (e.g. online gaming,
e-business, secure e-mail like Blackberry)
