Signs of attachment

• Names baby before birth or shortly after

• When holding infant is focused on baby,
not on phone, visitors, self or TV
• Calls infant by name, makes eye
contact
• Identifies distinguishing characteristics
which are “just like his father”, or
brother, etc.
