Sejumlah campuran gas SO2 , udara dan air dimasukkan ke dalam
tangki tertutup dan dikocok berulang-ulang pada temperatur operasi
tertentu.
Bila kontak antara gas –cair sangat baik, maka sistem disebut
berada dalam kesetimbangan fasa.
Pada saat itu, sebagian zat A (solute) akan berpindah dari fasa
gas ke fasa cair.
