 Pengaturan tekanan arteri oleh sistem baroreseptor
 Di arteri besar terdapat banyak reseptor syaraf yang
disebut  Baroreseptor, yang terangsang oleh regangan
dinding arteri
 Jika tekanan arteri meningkat menyebabkan rangsangan
ke baroreseptor meningkat diteruskan ke medulla
oblongata sebagai pusat vasomotor memerintah jantung
untuk mengurangi aktifitas sehingga terjadi bradichardi
dan; pembuluh darah mengalami (vasodilatasi) sehingga

 Jika tekanan arteri menurun, rangsangan
diteruskan ke baroreseptor menurun dilaporkan
ke medulla oblongata sebagai pusat vasomotor
kemudian medulla oblongata memerintah ke
jantung  untuk meningkatkan aktifitas sehingga
terjadi tachicardi; sedang pada pembuluh
darah akan terjadi vasokonstriksi, dimana
keduanya akan menyebabkan Tekanan arteri
meningkat
