Professional Master’s and Master of Engineering

• A course-only program, known as a non-


thesis master’s
• Fully accredited master’s degree, tailored to
the working professional
• Classes are available days, evenings,
weekends and online
• GRE requirement may be waived based on
undergraduate GPA
Master of Science (M.S.) at IIT
• Usually requires a final thesis at the
completion of course work
• This degree can be a final academic degree
or a stepping stone to Ph.D. study
• GRE scores are required
Certificate or Non-Degree Options at IIT
• Certificate
– Can usually be completed in 3-5 courses
– Credits can apply toward your master’s degree
requirements
• Non-degree
– Up to 3 courses (9 credit hours) can apply
toward a degree
