 Pengertian Perusahaan

Perusahaan merupakan badan usaha yang menjalankan kegiatan di bidang

perekonomian (keuangan, industri, dan perdagangan), yang dilakukan secara
terus menerus atau teratur (regelnatig) terang – terangan (openlijk), dan dengan
tujuan memperoleh keuntungan atau laba.

Dalam Pasal 1 huruf (b) UU Nomor 3 Tahun 1982 tentang yang menjalankan
setiap usaha yang bersifat tetap dan terus menerus dan yang didirikan, bekerja
serta berkedudukan dalam wilayah Republik Indonesia, untuk tujuan
memperoleh keuntungan dan atau laba.

 Tujuan Perusahaan

Tujuan utama perusahaan adalah mencapai laba yang optimum guna

memaksimalkan nilai para pemegang saham. Untuk mencapai hal
tersebut, perusahaan harus dapat meningkatkan kinerjanya dengan
mengelola aktivitas bisnisnya secara efektif, efisien dan ekonomis.
Selain itu juga bertujuan untuk memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat,
seperti melakukan penelitian di bidang kesehatan atau perlindungan
terhadap sumber daya alam.

 Pemangku Kepentingan dalam Perusahaan

Pemangku kepentingan dalam perusahaan disebut

dengan stakeholder atau pemegang saham. Stakeholder
didefinisikan sebagai kelompok atau individu yan
dukungannya diperlukan demikesejahteraan dan
kelangsungan hidup perusahaan. Stakeholder dibagi
menjadi dua yaitu Stakeholder primer dan Stakeholder
sekunder.
