PENGERTIAN PENYAKIT “LEPTOSPIROSIS”
Leptospirosis adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh
bakteri Leptospira interrogans yang disebarkan melalui
urine atau darah hewan yang terinfeksi bakteri ini.
Leptospirosis dapat menyerang manusia melalui paparan
air atau tanah yang telah terkontaminasi urine hewan
pembawa bakteri leptospira. Penyakit infeksi bakteri ini
banyak terjadi di daerah yang terkena banjir.

4. Sakit kepala
5. Nyeri otot, terutama pada betis Diagnosis leptospirosis ditegakkan

menguning lingkungan yang terkontaminasi,

 Pencegahan Leptospirosis

Agar terhindar dari leptospirosis, bersihkanlah sekeliling rumah sebelum banjir melanda.
Jangan sampai ada ruang untuk tikus tinggal dan beranak pinak. Karena, tikus merupakan
salah satu hewan yang menjadi media penyebaran kuman selain kucing, anjing, sapi, domba,
dan babi.
Sebisa mungkin jauhkan diri dari air banjir ketika banjir terjadi. Apalagi jika ada bagian
tubuh yang sedang terluka, kuman dapat dengan mudah masuk ke dalam tubuh.
Selain itu, seseorang juga bisa melindungi diri dari leptospirosis dengan rajin mencuci

 CARA PENGOBATAN

Leptospirosis dapat diobati dengan antibiotik untuk memusnahkan kuman,

yakni antibiotik dari golongan penicillin, streptomycine, chloramphenicol dan
erythromycine.
Cara penanganan lain dari leptospirosis adalah dengan memberikan obat
sesuai dengan gejala. Pemberian obat juga harus diberikan secepat mungkin.
Jika diobati selagi masih dini, tingkat kesembuhan penderita umumnya akan
lebih cepat.
Bila telah terjadi komplikasi, maka penderita perlu dirawat di rumah sakit
untuk mendapatkan pengobatan yang lebih lengkap.
