A. PENGERTIAN AL-QUR’AN
Kata al-qur’an menurut bahasa mempunyai arti yang bermacam-
macam, salah satunya adalah bacaan atau sesuatu yang di baca.
Adapun menurut istilah adalah kalam Allah yang bersifat mukjizat
yang diturunkan kepada nabi Muhammad SAW melalui perantara
malaikat malaikat Jibril dengan lafal dan maknanya dari Allah, yang
dinukilkan secara secara mutawatir, membacanya merupakan ibadah,
dimulai dengan surah al-fatihah dan diakhiri dengan surah an-Nas.

SETELAH MASA KHALIFAH
Seorang tabiin, Abu Al-aswad Al-duali pertama kali mengenalkan tanda titik
ke dalam naskah al-qur’an. Tanda baca yang diberikan adalah berupa titik diatas
huruf sebagai tanda fathah, titik di bawah huruf sebagai kasrah, dan titk di
samping huruf sebgai dlummah. Tahap berikutnya, Yahya bin Yamur dan Nashr
bin Ashim menyempurnaan pemberian titik pada semua huruf al-qur’an yang
dianggap penting untuk diberi harakat.

D. HIKMAH DIWAHYUKANNYA AL-QURAN SECARA

BERANGSUR-ANGSUR
1) Untuk menguatkan hati Rosulullah SAW dalam melaksanakan tugas sucinya.
2) Untuk menghibur hati Nabi saat ia menghadapi kesulitan, kesedihan atau
perlawanan pada orang-orang kafir.
3) Untuk memudahkan Rosulullah dan para pengikutnya menghafal al-Qur’an.
4) Agar mudah dimengerti dan dilaksanakan segala isinya.
5) Untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang diajukan kepada Nabi.
6) Untuk meneguhkan dan menghibur hati pada pengikutnya.

7) Untuk memudahkan mereka sedikit demi sedikit meninggalkan tradisi-

tradisi jahiliyah.
8)Untuk menunjukkan satu kenyataan yang tidak dapat dibantah tentang
eksistensi al-Qur’an sendiri.
9) Diantara ayat-ayat al-Qur’an itu ada yang perlu dinasikhkan oleh Tuhan dan
digantinya ayat yang baru.
10) Sesuai dengan sunnatullah yang berlaku di seluruh alam.
