• Conjunctions (kata hubung) adalah salah satu bagian part of speech yang di gunakan untuk
menghubungkan kata, frasa, klausa atau kalimat.

Correlative Conjunction
• Subordinating Conjunction
COORDINATING CONJUNCTION

• Conjunction ini berfungsi untuk menghubungkan dua atau lebih independent clause atau klausa yang
dapat berdiri sendiri. Conjunction yang termasuk dalam kategori ini ialah for, and, nor, but, or, yet, dan
so.
 EX

• Martha did not come to school today, for she was sick.
• In my spare time, I love to watch movies and I love to cook.
• I don’t want you nor her to be on my team.
• I would love to go to your party, but I’m afraid I can’t.
• Which dress do you prefer? The red one or the blue one?
• I’m so hungry, yet I don’t know what to eat.
• I didn’t have breakfast this morning, so I’m really hungry right now.
CORRELATIVE CONJUNCTION

• Correlative Conjunction memiliki fungsi yang sama seperti Coordinating Conjunction hanya saja
Conjunction ini berpasang – pasangan dan tidak bisa dipisahkan.
EX

• Both you and I need to see Mr. Rizky in his office tomorrow.
• I either want to go to Bandung or Yogyakarta this holiday.
• Neither I nor Ben want to go to grandpa’s house this weekend.
• Not only she is about to graduate from college this year, but she is also about get married.
SUBORDINATING CONJUNCTION

• Conjunction ini berfungsi untuk mengubungkan independent clause (klausa yang dapat berdiri sendiri)
dengan dependent clause (klausa yang tidak dapat berdiri sendiri).

• Because of the storm, our flight is delayed.

• Although she’s sick, she’s still very energetic.
• While you were gone, I took care of your cat.
