 Latar Belakang
Ginjal adalah organ tubuh manusia yang berfungsi dalam sistem ekskresi atau pembuangan.
Mengalami gangguan ginjal berarti berpotensi untuk terkena penyakit lainnya. Kegagalan pada fungsi
ginjal membuat ginjal sulit mengontrol keseimbangan cairan, zatnatrium, kalium dan nitrogen dalam
tubuh. Jika ginjal sudah tidak dapat bekerja, maka diperlukan terapi tertentu untuk menggatikan kerja
ginjal, yakni dengan transplantasi ginjal atau hemodialisis (Sofi, 2016).
Hemodialisis dapat diartikan sebagai metode pencucian darah, dengan cara membuang sisa
ataupun senyawa berbahaya yang berlebihan, lewat membran semi permeabel yang dilakukan untuk
menggantikan fungsi ginjal yang sudah tidak berfungsi dengan baik (Rachmanto, 2018). Pasien yang
menjalani hemodialisis akan mengalami peningkatan tekanan darah sistolik ≥ 10 mmHg yang dikenal
dengan hipertensi intradialitik (Ferdi R, 2016). Hipertensi intradialitik sebagai akibat adanya perubahan
hemodinamik.
 Latar Belakang
Salah satu terapi non farmakologi dalam menurunkan tekanan darah yaitu dengan teknik
relaksasi. Dengan metode relaksasi dapat mengontrol sistem saraf yang bermanfaat untuk menurunkan
tekanan darah (Suiraoka, 2012). Teknik relaksasi saat ini terus dikembangkan menjadi beberapa
teknik, salah satunya yaitu relaksasi benson (Atmojo, JT. 2019). Relaksasi Benson merupakan
pengembangan metode respon relaksasi dengan melibatkan faktor keyakinan pasien, yang dapat
menciptakan suatu lingkungan internal sehingga dapat membantu pasien mencapai kondisi kesehatan
dan kesejahteraan lebih tinggi (Purwanto, 2006).
Berdasarkan latar belakang diatas maka penulis tertarik untuk melakukan Analisis Praktik Klinik
Keperawatan pada Pasien Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Dengan Hipertensi Dalam Intervensi
Inovasi Pemberian Relaksasi Benson Untuk Menurunkan Tekanan Darah Di Ruang Hemodialisa
RSUD Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda 2021.

Menunjukkan prevalensi penderita chronic kidney disease di Indonesia tahun 2013 sebesar 2%
atau 2 per 100 penduduk meningkat menjadi 3,8% pada tahun 2018, dan proporsi
pernah/sedang cuci darah pada penduduk berumur lebih dari 15 tahun yang pernah didiagnosa
penyakit chronic kidney disease sebesar 19,3% (Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas, 2018).

PERNEFRI, 2016
Prevalensi tertinggi pada Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah sebesar 0,4%.
Sedangkan prevalensi Chronic Kidney Disease di Provinsi Kalimantan
Timur Sebesar 0,1%. Jumlah pasien baru yang mengidap chronic kidney
disease stadium 5 di Indonesia pada tahun 2018 adalah 66.433 orang,
sedangkan untuk Kalimantan Timur sebanyak 854 orang (PERNEFRI,
2016).
