Emotions in Organizations
 Emotions play a vital role in organizations.  Emotions can enhance the performance or hinder the performance of Employees.  Positive emotions can enhance the employee performance. Example- If a employee is in a calm and stable frame of mind due to a content family life then he or she would be more productive n committed towards the organization.  Negative emotions on the other hand can play as a hindrance in the employee performance

Emotional Intelligence
Is the ability to detect and manage emotional cues and information. It is the ability of an person to 1.Be Self Aware 2.Detect emotions in others 3.Manage emotional cues and information Emotional Intelligence plays an important role in job performance. Emotionally intelligent people are most likely to be effective in an organization.

 A situation in which an employee expresses organizationally desired emotions during interpersonal transactions at work.  Emotional dissonance is inconsistencies between the emotions people feel and emotions they project. Examples- Airhostesses to be cheerful, Doctors are expected to be emotionally neutral.  Emotional dissonance can take a toll on employees.

Conclusions

 Emotions are a result of events or situations.  Emotions play a vital role in day to day life and in organizations.  Emotions are affected by personal values and virtues.

 Neutral Emotions never exists in an individual.  Positive emotions are always productive and should be always encouraged.  Negative emotions most of the time will reduce productivity and effectiveness of an individual, so they should always be kept in a check.  Emotions as long as human life exists will play a vital role in day to day life as well as organizations.
