What is Green for LIFE: One Million Trees and Beyond Project (OMTBP)?
One Million Trees and Beyond is a project for the environment, driven by the Lasallian Family through the Lasallian Institute for the Environment (LIFE). Are we good stewards of God's creation?
Thru LIFE, the OMTB planted one million trees last June 2011.
Out of the 1M trees planted, DLS-CSB contributed approximately 30% trees thru partnerships with the local government units and peoples organizations.

Carbon Sequestration: Based on trees per campus and those planted under OMTBP
7,957,377. 33 Kg CO2
6,167,406. 42
We need
1,789,970.91 kg CO2
to be Carbon Neutral!
This is equal to approx: 2.9M fruit bearing trees or 4.3M mangroves or 3.8M Molave trees 2-3 months old, planted within a month!
In summary, PCN is a part of DLS-CSBs environmental programs. It takes the participation of the whole community for us to be successful in achieving: carbon neutrality sustainable and efficient facilities well-informed community for a lifestyle change
