There are three ways
 Parent to child - telling others what to
do, talking down to them.
 Child to parent - being submissive,
throwing temper tantrums, flaunting
authority.
 Adult to adult - relating as equals,
reason dominating emotion.
We are what we are!
 not as ''grown up'' as we think
 Have feelings
 Nurturing, coaching, sympathizing
 behave in a more Adult way
 relating to subordinates
Types
The Ego States
EGO-STATES

 coherent system of:


thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

• mad-sad-glad-scared.
• smiling, saying "hello" and "goodbye”.
• holding and moving their body.
• thinking clearly ( or not ! ).
• behave in private/public.
• use power - control.
• love-work-play.
