 An existing relationship with the patient and
the clinic plays a major role.
Referrals from other physician
 Investigator can ask their colleagues for
assistance.
 The Physician reviews the study entry criteria
and identify the patients.
 The Physician must get an authorization from
the patient.
“Honest Brokers”
 An Honest Broker may be an agent or a
middle man connecting and reconnecting the
physician’s own patients with the Investigator.
Data mining
 Involves the analysis of claims and or
clinical data using algorithms.
