Getting started
The first step in AutoCAD is to set the units. For this purpose, Type > UN In the new dialog box change units to Architectural and Precision to 0-0. In the angle group box change type to decimal and precision to 0.00 Check the clockwise check box to take clockwise angles as positive. In drag and drop scale group box change scale to inches.

Type line Press Click anywhere in the drawing area to locate a point. At the Specify Next Point or [Undo] prompt, click anywhere else in the drawing area to specify the endpoint of the line segment. Then type c (Close) and press ENTER to add a third line segment that connects to the initial point and ends the command.

type c and press click anywhere in the drawing area to locate a center point. At the Specify Radius of Circle prompt, type 5 and press Press to repeat the CIRCLE command. Type 2P and press ENTER to create a circle using two points . Click anywhere in the drawing to locate each point. Press key to end the command.
