Born in San Francisco on February 24, 1955 to Joanne Carole Schieble and Abdulfattah John Jandali A week after he was born, he was put up for adoption by his mother. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs of Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California They gave him the name Steven Paul Jobs

Steve Jobs was the founder and inspiration for the Apple Inc., but he was slowly pushed out for aggressive and underhanded tactics Employees said he had a temper, and was usually stubborn Jobs protested and resigned, even though he stayed the chairmen for some time. Present apple logo The idea fell from a tree, literally. Steve Jobs had returned from visiting a communelike place in Oregon located in an apple orchard. Apple co-founder and Jobs pal, Steve Wozniak, picked him up from the airport. On the drive home, Jobs simply said, I came up with a name for our companyApple. Wozniak said they could have tried to come up with more technical sounding names but their vision was to make computers approachable. Apple fit perfectly.

NeXT

NeXT was founded in 1985 by Apple Computer co-founder Steve Jobs after he resigned from Apple. NeXT introduced the first NeXT Computer in 1988, and the smaller NeXT station in 1990. Apple purchased NeXT on December 20, 1996 for $429 million and 1.5 million shares of Apple stock. A new computer company based on an object oriented software platform, NeXT failed first as a hardware company, then as a software company due to its high costs.

WebObjects was created by NeXT Software, Inc., first publicly demonstrated at the Object World conference in 1995 and released to the public in March 1996. WebObjects is a Java web application server from Apple Inc., and a web application framework that runs on the server. Apple III (1981) - Unreliable hardware. Lisa (1983) - First commercially produced computer with a GUI but quickly fell into the shadow of the cheaper Macintosh, launched a year later. NeXT Computer (1989) - Too expensive to catch on with mainstream users. Puck Mouse (1998) - Hard to use. The Cube (2000) - Won design awards but was a flop in stores because of its high price. iTunes phone (2005) - Complicated to set up and use. Apple TV (2007) - Could only hold 100 songs, and transferring them from the computer was a slow process.

He was dyslexic. He loved calligraphy, that was the reason for Mac OS coming up with different fonts. He wasnt the cleanest fellow-his personal hygiene was in question. He Was declared dead once in 2008 by bloomberg. He was a fruitarian. His Annual salary as a CEO of apple was $1 while his income due to largest shareholder in Disney $48 million. His daily uniform was black sweatshirt, blue jeans and new balance sneakers.

Jobs Legacy at Apple

Apples pipeline of goodies from Macbooks to iPhones to iPads are still the envy of the industry. Tim Cook, the next Apple CEO, has a tough job ahead as the company might face some initial hiccups. What will come after the iPad is anyones guess.
