AUDIO-VISUAL AIDS

Audio-Visual Aids are those sensory objects or images which initiate or stimulate and reinforce learning. Burton Audio-Visual Aids are any device which can be used to make the learning experience more concrete, more realistic and more dynamic.

The opaque projector, epidioscope, epidiascope or episcope is a device which displays opaque materials by shining a bright lamp onto the object from above. A system of mirrors, prisms and/or imaging lenses is used to focus an image of the material onto a viewing screen.

It provides place for the display of articles, cut outs, paintings etc.

This is a large sheet of white plastic board for writing with markers

MODEL Model is true representation of a real thing Models provide interior view of objects which are normally invisible

Objects
Objects are real things collected from their natural settings E.g.- Rocks, coins, stamps etc

Specimen is a three dimensional object representing a small piece ,segment or sample of the real object Students can collect specimens themselves, identify and use them in their learning process

Mock-ups are used when direct first hand experience is impossible or impractical Mock-ups are the imitation of the real process It is very useful in giving training in complex skills

Representation of a group of modeled objects against a painted back ground.

Puppets have been used to simulate reality to entertain and to pass on knowledge

It plays an important role in imparting instruction through educational broadcast
