A business message is a form of message used to convey business related communication for internal and external purpose Internal purpose External purpose

NEED AND OBJECTIVE


To convey messages to the employees within the organization. to build a good relationship with potential customers and suppliers. To create network with outside agencies like bank, financial institution.

ORAL BUSINESS MESSAGE


It is a primary mode of passing a message No need of formal structure. More frequently used in routine type of messages. It is basically carries within the organization.

WRITTEN BUSINESS MESSAGE


It is in the written format.
It should be in a formal way. Basic steps to be fallowed. It may be in the physical format like letter or in the format of electronic mail.

This type of message applies for promotion and performance appraisal of employees. Buy back information to customers. Serving when advertising for a job hiring.

Designed specifically to impart a message to employees, clients or any other stake holder. To convey a sense of dismay or frustration without being rude with a sense of professionalism being showcased with.

Ex:-Job/Bid rejection, Contract denials

PERSUASIVE BUSINESS MESSAGE


This type of messages are usually framed For influencing the person who receives the message to take into action what the message partakes.
A sales letter should be written at through persuading the receiver to take an immediate action to avail the product or service.

ROUTINE TYPE OF MESSAGES


They are usually framed to give a routine type of updated or modified information about product/services. Designed to communicate with suppliers vendors. Convey routine updated technical information to employees in the organization.

INTRODUCTION:
A Proposal is a marketing tool that sells your ideas to others and also makes an offer to provide goods or services to potential or existing customer.

Classification of proposals:
1. Internal and external proposals. 2. Solicited and unsolicited proposals.

Internal and external proposals:


Internal proposals are directed towards management within the organization. External proposals are directed towards the current and prospective customers.

Solicited and unsolicited proposals:


A proposal to supply specific goods, to solve a problem and to exploit some situation, the proposal is solicited. A proposal to identify the need and propose to meet it is unsolicited proposals.

The proposal-planning process:


The rule for proposals would be plan before you write and write to the plan.
There are four major steps to planning process:1. Screening: Bid/No Bid decision. 2. Conduct a customer analysis. 3. Theme development. 4. Formulation of solutions and strategies. 5. Budgeting and scheduling the proposal.
