Public speaking can be learned

SO, LETS LEARN IT

GOOD PUBLIC SPEAKING

Have a message
1

Structure your speech

2

RElax
3

START WITH A MAIN SENTENCES AND CONTINUE TO SUPPORTING POINTS

A clear structure for a speech makes it much easier for an audience to follow.

Its important to remember to relax!

Good Public Speaking

Have a Message

1. Try and come up with a single sentence that describes your main contention.

Continue to Supporting points/ sentences which explain about your main point
2.

Good Public Speaking

Have a Message

Example : THW would ban smoking

Correct : Main sentence------I believe smoking is bad for any reason
Support sentences -------------When we are talking about smoking, that means we are talking about cigarrete. We know that cigarrets content some subtances which are really toxic for human body. For example like nicotine and tar. These subtances are really bad for any reasons. And we can not reject as how advertisement says smoking causes cancer, heart attack, asthma and etc.

????????

WHY ????????

GAME

S . Ex . I THEORY

WHAT IS SExI Theory

State
Explain Illustrate
GOOD ARGUMENTS ...GOOD NOTETAKING.......GOOD DELIVERING

State your points

Explaining your point Illustrate your point

Example:

S: that Indonesia has failed to decrease Corruptions

because the cases which is related to corruptions are increased. We can see the percentage which is reported by ICW. It is hiking. The cases are blown up, reported every media. And most of cases which have been investigated and tried in the courts remain only papers and no deterrence we found. Members or employee in the offices still corrupt.

EX:

I: for instance, we think what is happening with corruption case

which is involving Nazaruddin or even Gayus could prove us how fail Indonesia to decrease the corruptions

Structure your speech

RULE OF 3 In mySignposting is another trick that makes it speech , I would like to talk about : 1. Smoking is notyour audience to follow where easier for always bad for some Another is to say everything 3 times. First, reason onethe rightends points in speech point to points that you To tryisand have 3and the next begins. 2. Smoking introduce the every individual are going to make. Secondly, make each than 3. Banning smoking is more harmfulpoint in turn. Thirdly, Signposting is literally telling the audience letting argument that you have made. the Mysummarize the smokeis or Moving to In this next people points way people will clearly remember the main nextLet me first of all talk on 1st point, that messages of point. have to say. what you So, what I have said.....I
have told you that smoking is not always bad for some reasons. And second,.........third,........

smoking is not always bad for some reasons. Explaination:.................................................... ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ........................................................................

Relax
1.Have a positive mindset in nearly all the public speaking you will ever do, the people watching will want you to succeed. 2.Dont feel the need to apologise if you make a mistake. Its natural to make mistakes, and everyone does. Just refocus HOW to Practice it!!!! on the speech and move on! 3.One final tip is to take the time to relax and build confidence before you speak. Once you stand up, take a deep breath and count to three before you start speaking.

BE MAD , DUDE!!!!

Other great ways to practice by yourself include: writing short speeches and reading them aloud ----- reducing the written speech to keywords, and then speaking from that reading opinion articles out loud practicing speaking into a mirror!
