There are three forms of general corporate planning, as follows:

- this form of planning involves taking over of a company and creating another business.

Joint-venture corporate planning


- joint-venture is a contractual partnership between two or more organizations

Stop investment corporate planning


- stop investment corporate planning is performed when a company sells its business because it is no longer interested to continue the business. Business unit corporate planning - business unit corporate planning involves the development of different strategies for each business area. Function corporate planning - functional corporate planning involves the development of strategies related to the activities in each functional area.

Listing the jobs (i) organization has its own goals and objective and must be achieved through different ways. (ii) jobs performed by the empolyees must be identified. Dividing of jobs (i) allocated to the individuals or groups of individuals according to their abilities and skills. (ii) must be conducted in a fair and balanced way.
Establishing the departments (i) will need to conduct departmentalization. (ii) example: the production department, the accounting department nd the administration department

Distribution of task employees involves the allocation of authority so that job can be performed efficiently and effectively.

At this level, managers must set a clear chain of command, in terms of who should report to whom.
Manager must allocated organizational resources to the departments.

Coordinating the task Managers must form a mechanism to unite all department activities so that organizational operations can be coordinated to achieve organizational goal. As organizations comprise of several different departments, coordination is important to ensure all activities conducted in the department are guide by the same goals.
