Llewellyn Connolly’s background in the sciences includes a BA in engineering and applied physics, which he earned at Harvard University graduating magna cum laude. He gained early experience as a fixed income financial strategies associate with Goldman Sachs Company and subsequently pursued an MBA at Harvard Business School.
Mr. Connolly held a number of positions with London-based Goldman Sachs International from 1993 to 2003, including head of European derivative trading. Joining Lehman Brothers in 2003, he served as managing director and co-head of U.S. equity derivative sales and trading. Managing a team of 40 specialized professionals, he oversaw market making, flow trading, and statistical and volatility arbitrage functions. Mr. Connolly next held responsibilities as founder and co-managing partner of the Equity Unity of Swiss Re Capital Management Advisers.
