Now living in New Mexico, Lowell holds a BA in English Literature from Boise State University and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Washington. He taught philosophy at the University of New Mexico’s Valencia campus. A former Marine and Vietnam veteran, Lowell is the author of the short story collections Down to the Calming Sea and Lonely People, and the novel Golden Grain.
