ABSTRAK
Eksplorasi minyak dan gas merupakan tahapan bagaimana cara mengetahui cadangan minyak
dan gas yang terdapat pada wilayah tertentu dengan menggunakan metode-metode yang
dipelajari dalam ilmu geologi dan ilmu petrofisik khususnya yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui
kandungan prospek suatu reservoar. Batugamping atau batuan karbonat merupakan salah satu
jenis batuan yang mempunyai porositas dan permeabilitas yang baik sehingga merupakan salah
satu batuan reservoar yang baik. Batuan reservoar ini membuat perangkap untuk minyak dan gas
bumi serta menyimpannya sebagai cadangan dan perlu dilakukan tahap eksplorasi untuk
mengetahui karakteristik reservoar sebenarnya.
Namun untuk mengetahui karakteristik suatu reservoar perlu dilakukan evaluasi lebih lanjut
dalam rangka mengetahui kondisi dan sifat fisika batuan reservoar. Analisis petrofisik merupakan
tahapan yang sangat penting dalam menentukan karakteristik reservoar. Salah satu metodenya
yaitu evaluasi formasi dengan metode wireline logging. Kurva log memberikan informasi yang
akurat tentang sifat-sifat fisik batuan dan fluida. Tahapan yang penting dalam menentukan
keberadaan zona prospek hidrokarbon yaitu dengan metode analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif data
log.
Analisis kuantitatif data log perlu didukung dengan parameter pengukuran nilai core guna
mengetahui jenis litologi dan sifat fisika batuan. Hasil analisis petrofisik dengan data well log
bertujuan menentukan keberadaan zona prospek hidrokarbon pada reservoar karbonat di daerah
penelitian sebagai salah satu reservoar utama yang memiliki prospek hidrokarbon. Dalam
pembahasan ini dibatasi pada penentuan zona prospek hidrokarbon berdasarkan analisis
petrofisik dengan data well log pada reservoar karbonat-Formasi Baturaja yang terletak di Subcekungan Palembang Selatan, Cekungan Sumatera Selatan.
Terdapat sepuluh sumur pada daerah penelitian, yang tersebar pada dua kelompok sumur yaitu
kelompok sumur bagian timurlaut terdapat enam sumur dan kelompok sumur bagian baratdaya
terdapat empat sumur. Dari hasil analisis petrofisik dengan data log menunjukan kedua
kelompok sumur tersebut mempunyai nilai hidrokarbon yang cukup prospek.

ABSTRACT
Oil and gas exploration is the stages to determine the manner oil and gas reserves contained in
particular region by using methods learned in science of geology and petrophysical science
especially which aims to know the contain of hydrocarbon prospect in a reservoir. Limestone or
rock carbonate is one of rock type that has good porosity and permeability. Therefore, that is one
of rocks with a good reservoir. The reservoir rocks create a trap for oil and gas then keep it as
reserve and therefore, the stages of exploration are needed to know the actually characteristics of
reservoir.
But to know the characteristics of a reservoir, are needed further evaluation in order to analize
the reservoir conditions and its rock physics. Petrophysical analysis stages are very important in
determining the characteristics of reservoir. One of the methods is the formation evaluation with
wireline logging method. The curve of logs provide the precise information about the physical
properties of rocks and fluids. The important stages in determining the prospect zone of
hydrocarbon by using the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods from log information.
The quantitative analysis of log information needs to be combinated with the measurement
parameters of core values to know the lithology types and rock property physics. The
Petrophysical analysis with well log data is aimed to determine the existence of hydrocarbon
zones on carbonate reservoir in the research region, which it acts as one of the main reservoirs
that indicates the hydrocarbon prospects. In this Research topic is limited to the determination of
the hydrocarbon prospects based on petrophysical analysis on carbonate reservoir of the Baturaja
Formations which located in South Palembang Sub-basin of South Sumatra Basin.
This field has ten wells, which distributed in two well groups, are northeastern side consisting of
six wells and southwestern side with four wells. The results of petrophysics analysis of well logs
showed all wells have considerably of hydrocarbon prospect.
