A research had been conducted under the title . The influence of the addition of
sea grass liquid waste on turf type soil to the growth of rice (Oryza sativa)
varieties of Ciliwung. This research aims to whether of The influence of the
addition of sea grass liquid waste on turf type soil to the growth of rice,
determine biomass in rice plants. Treatment accorded to the growing media :
growing media 1 with peat soil weighing 1 kg added with 25 ml of waste seaweed
and chlorine 30 gram, growing media 2 with a weight 1 kg of peat soil was added
with waste liquid seaweed 30 ml, and growing media 3 with a weight of 1 kg of
peat soils. Fertilization takes on growing media 1, 2, and 3 with same dose the 3.5
gram (Urea) + 1.8 grams (SP36)+ 0.9 grams (KCl). This kind of research is the
experiment with 3 treatments and 4 replications. The results showed growing
media 1 with susceptible pH ranged from 6.522 to 7.937, growing media 2 have
pH ranging from 5.280 to 6.937, and growing media 3 have a pH ranging from
4.230 to 5.723. Higher plants is dominated by plants grown on growing media 2
having height of 34.5 cm with a growth rate ranging from 0.30 to 1.40 cm / week,
while on growing media 3 have very slow growth with plant height 18.3 cm with
a growth rate ranging from 0.03 to 0.40 cm / week. Number of tillers leaf on
growing media 1 have number of tillers leaf ranged between 0-5 leaves, growing
media 2 have number of tillers leaf ranged between 0-4 leaves, and the growing
media 3 have number of tillers leaf range between 0-3 leaves. The biomass plants
in growing media 1 have a dry weight ranged from 0.15 to 0.25 gram, growing
media 2 have a dry weight ranged from 0.20 to 0.40 gram, and the (growing
media III) have a dry weight ranged from 0.10 to 0.20 grams, The conclusion of
this research is liquid waste processing of seaweed can increase soil can increase
soil pH, increase the rate of growth the rice plant, and increase dry biomass of
plants.
