Abstrak Kajian ini dijalankan untuk meningkatkan kemahiran mengeja murid-murid dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu dengan

menggunakan kad perkataan dan kad gambar. Seramai 6 orang murid bermasalah pendengaran kelas 3K di sebuah sekolah pendidikan khas di Negeri Sembilan dipilih untuk terlibat dalam kajian ini. Fokus kajian ini adalah untuk menilai samada penggunaan kad perkataan dan kad gambar dapat meningkatkan kemahiran mengeja murimurid bermasalah pendengaran. Tinjauan awal mendapati murid sukar untuk mengingat ejaan perkataan jika guru hanya menulis perkataan tersebut sahaja dan murid tidak menunjukkan minat untuk mengikuti pengajaran. Untuk mengurangkan masalah ini, kad perkataan dan kad gambar telah digunakan. Keputusan menunjukkan murid-murid dapat mengingat ejaan dengan lebih baik dengan penggunaan kad perkataan dan kad gambar. Murid-murid juga menunjukkan minat mereka untuk mengikuti pengajaran. Abstract This study was conducted to improve the pupils spelling skills for Malay Language subject using word cards and picture cards. Five pupils with hearing problems from 3K class in a special education school in Negeri Sembilan were chosen to participate in this study. The aim of this study is to assess whether the use of word cards and picture cards can improve the spelling skills of the pupils with hearing problem. Early survey has been done and found out that the pupils were having difficulties to memorize the spelling of the words if the teacher only wrote the words on the board. Consequently, the pupils will show no interest towards the lesson. Thus, word cards and picture cards are used in order to overcome the problem. Result shows that pupils can memorize the words better with the use of word cards and picture cards during the lesson. Furthermore, pupils show their interest towards the lesson when the teacher uses word cards and picture cards during lesson.
