UJI EFEKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK DAUN JATI

BELANDA (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk.) TERHADAP BAKTERI
Staphylococcus aureus DAN Escherichia coli
( vi + 58 halaman + 6 tabel + 9 lampiran)

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang :Penyakit infeksi dapat disebabkan oleh bakteri yang dapat
menyerang saluran tubuh. Infeksi yang sering terjadi yaitu infeksi yang
disebabkan oleh bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli.
Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak daun jati
belanda (Guazuma Ulmifolia Lamk) mempunyai KHM dan KBM terhadap bakteri
Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli.
Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimental murni dengan
desain post eksperimental. Dengan melihat kadar bunuh minimum ekstrak daun
jati belanda pada bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli, pada
konsentrasi 12,5% b/v 25% b/v 50% b/v, menggunakan metode difusi dengan cara
kirby bauer.
Hasil :Hasil menunjukan pada konsentrasi 12,5% sudah dikatakan menghambat
hal ini disebabkan 12,5% merupakan kadar hambat minimum karena sudah dapat
menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli.
Sedangkan kadar bunuh minimum bakteri Staphylococcus aureus adalah 25% dan
bakteri Escherichia coli 12,5%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa efektifitas ekstrak
daun jati belanda (Guazuma Ulmifolia Lamk.) lebih efektif pada bakteri
Escherichia coli.
Simpulan : Ekstrak daun jati blanda (Guazuma Ulmifolia Lamak.) mempunyai
efek antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli, dan ekstrak
daun jati belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk.) dengan konsentrasi 12,5% dapat
menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli, sedangkan
KBM dari bakteri Staphylococcus aureus adalah 25% dan KBM dari bakteri
Escherichia coli adalah 12,5%.
Saran : Perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang aktivitas antibakteri dari bagian
tumbuhan lain daun jati belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk.).

EFFECTIVENESS TEST Antibacterials TEAK LEAF EXTRACT THE

NETHERLANDS (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk.) AGAINST BACTERIA AND
Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus
(Vi + 58 pages + 6 + 9 appendix table)

ABSTRACT

Background: Infectious diseases is one of the problems in the health sector that
continues berkembang.infeksi can be caused by bacteria that can attack the body.
Frequent infections are infections caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus
and Escherichia coli.
Objective: Penelitianini aimed to determine whether the Dutch identity leaf
extract (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk) have MIC and MBC against Staphylococcus
aureus and Escherichia coli.
Methods: This study is a purely experimental research with post experimental
design. By looking at the minimum levels of suicide Dutch teak leaves extract on
Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, the concentration of 12.5% b/v 25%
b/v 50% b/v, using a diffusion method in a way kirby bauer.
Results: The results showed the concentration of 12.5% is said to inhibit this was
due to the 12.5% is the minimum inhibitory concentration because it can inhibit
the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. While the minimum
levels of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria kill was 25% and 12.5% of bacteria
Escherichia coli. This shows that the effectiveness of the Dutch identity leaf
extract (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk.) Is more effective in the bacteria Escherichia
coli.
Conclusion: teak leaf extract blanda (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamak.) Has an
antibacterial effect against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, and the
Dutch identity leaf extract (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamak.) With a 12.5%
concentration can inhibit the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli,
while KBM of Staphylococcus aureus was 25% and MBC of bacteria Escherichia
coli was 12.5%.

Suggestion: Need to do research on the antibacterial activity of other plant parts
