Trigliserida-trigliserida minyak-
lemak terkonversi menjadi biodiesel.

Abstract
Diesel fuel oil consumption in automotive and industries increases and there is no balance between
fuel oil production which more less than consumption so we must looking for the new fuel oil as the
alternative which more efficient and prior biodiesel as the next fuel oil. Biodiesel is the one of the fuel oil
alternative for our vehicle. Biodiesel can use in pure oil or with an addition with another diesel fuel oil
without machine modification. Biodiesel can produced from jathropa curcas with transesterification reaction
and there will be produced glycerin and fatty acid and then separate each other. Jathropa curcas potentially
developed in Indonesia. Hence done a research which background by technical aspect to processing biodiesel
with the type B 100, what is meaning pure biodiesel without mixing of fossil fuel. Observe at influence of ratio
reactan and time reaction to conversion jatropha curcas oil fence to become the methyl ester and NaoH as
catalyst of transesterification process. It yield two product that is methyl of ester and glycerine representing
product from other side. Triglyseride fat-oil converted to become biodiesel. By reactan ratios that is 1:2, 1:4,
1:6 and temperature 60,70,80 with 10,20,30,40,50,60 as time reacted. The result of research show that the
best conversion of transesterification is 88.8020% achieved at ratio of reactan 1 : 6, temperature react at
80oC and reaction time 30 minutes. While the least conversion of transesterification is 4.3465% achieved at
reactan ratio 1 :2, reaction temperature 80oC and reaction time 10 minutes.
