Hubungan kontak statis

A. Kontak Oklusi Sentris
Cusp lingual gigii rahang atas harus beroklusi pada fossa oklusal gigi rahang bawah,
dan cusp bukal gigi rahang bawah harus beroklusi pada fossa oklusal gigi rahang atas.
Kontak pada bawah fossa dan ujung cusp seharusnya merupakan yang paling besar.
Daerah yang mengalami kecondongan harus bebas kontak. Pada masing-masing cusp
terdapat groove berdekatan dengan fossa. Groove harus lebar sehingga dapat
memfasilitasi lepasnya cusp antagonis saat terjadi berbagai pergerakan lateral. Gigi
anterior rahang bawah harus beroklusi pada lekukan gigi rahang atas. Kontak sentris
dapat seimbang pada semua cusp.
B. Kontak Protrusif dan Sisi Kerja
Jika insisif anterior rahang bawah posisinya lebih labial dari insisif rahang atas maka
kontak protrusif terjadi. Lekukan kaninus antagonis berkontak di lateral. Sisa dari gigi
yang lain sehrusnya tidak beroklusi dengan satu sama lain pada sisi kerja.
Dynamic Contact Relationships
During lateral excursion, the buccal holding cusps of
the mandibular teeth move along the working inclines
of the buccal cusps present in the maxillary teeth. Then
the cusps slide via the grooves present nearby, buccally
and inferiorly. In the non-working side, initial contact
occurs in the balancing inclines of the holding cusps. If
the functional cusp contacts the marginal ridge, the cusp
will travel along the mesiodistal incline of the ridge.
When the mandible comes downward and forward the
incisal edges of mandibular incisor glide along the
lingual concavity of the maxillary incisors. The anterior
inclination of maxillary teeth, lingual concavities
determine the gliding path. Once protrusive movement
is started the posterior teeth should be free of contact.
In protrusive movements the slope of the canines
contact. The mesial slope of lingual side of upper canine
contacts the lower canine during downward forward
movement.
