DAFTAR PUSTAKA ........ 20 - 28Abstrak Depigmentasi Gingiva Menggunakan Laser Erbium doped: ittrium-Aluminium- Garnet Latar belakang: Estetik menjadi aspek penting di kedokteran gigi dan Klinisi diharapkan dapat memperbaiki estetika gingiva pada gangguan fungsi dan biologi gingiva. Warna pada gingiva penting peranannya pada estetika schingga memerlukan. teknik perawatan depigmentasi melanin gingiva yang adekuat menggunakan teknik terkini. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hasil perawatan kasus-kasus depigmentasi gingiva dengan menggunakan teknik laser Erbiumdoped:Yittrium-Aluminium-Gamet (Er:YAG). Kasus: wanita umur 34 tahun datang dengan keluhan gangguan estetik karena hiperpigmentasi pada gingiva anterior dengan kebiasaan merokok dan wanita umur 26 tahun keluhan gingiva yang berwama gelap sejak Kecil. Managemen kasus: kedua kasus tersebut dilakukan perawatan dengan teknik depigmentasi menggunakan laser Er:YAG. Kesimpulan: hiperpigmentasi gingiva adalah suatu permasalahan dalam penampilan estetik seseorang dapat diatasi dengan teknik depigmentasi. Salah satu teknik teknik yang paling modem adalah menggunakan laser. Teknik laser memiliki keuntungan yaitu tidak ada rasa sakit, ketidaknyaman yang minimal selama perawatan dan penyembuhan yang cepat dengan hasil yang memuaskan. Keywords: Hyperpigmentation, melanin, Er:YAG. Abstract Depigmentation gingiva using Erbiumdoped:Yittrium-Aluminium-Garnet laser. Background: Esthetic value has became a critical aspect in dentistry now a days. Therefore clinicians are to be expected to fulfill the demands on this area of interest, especially to overcome the gingival esthetics and functional problems. Gingival color is important in the esthetical value, therefore the technique used to adequately depigment the gingival melanin is needed. Purpose: to evaluate the results of the gingival depigmentation using erbium-yttrium- aluminum-garmet laser technique. Case: Two cases were described in this report. The first case was a 34 years old woman, complaining esthetical disturbances from her hyperpigmented anterior gingival. This woman has a smoking habit. The second case was 26 years old woman complaining that her gingival were darker in color than anyone of her age, since childhood. Case management : The gingival depigmentation procedure were conducted to both eases using Er: YAG laser technique. Conclusion: hyperpigmented gingiva are an esthetical issue. This following issue can be treated with the depigmentation procedure. the laser technique is a state of the art treatment option to depigment the gingiva. This technique has an advantage of giving the procedure painless, least discomfort while conducting the procedure.
