ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain bahan ajar berupa pop up book berbasis
Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan spasial siswa
pada materi bangun ruang. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian
pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini
dibatasi sampai dengan tahap desain (design). Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa
kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Pleret, Yogyakarta. Data
penelitian diperoleh dengan cara wawancara untuk menganalisis kebutuhan siswa,
observasi untuk mengetahui karakteristik siswa dan metode pembelajaran yang
digunakan, serta analisis dokumen untuk menganalisis kurikulum, materi pembelajaran,
dan bahan ajar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif. Penelitian ini
menghasilkan desain pop up book yang sesuai dengan analisis kebutuhan siswa,
karakteristik siswa, kurikulum, materi, metode pembelajaran, dan bahan ajar. Pop up
book dirancang berdasarkan pendekatan RME dan didesain untuk meningkatkan
kemampuan spasial siswa. Penelitian ini dapat dikembangkan pada tahap pengembangan
(development), implementasi (implementation) dan evaluasi (evaluation).
ABSTRACT
This study aims to design teaching materials in the form of pop up books based on
Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) to improve students' ability in three-dimensional
material. This type of research is the development research (Research and Development)
with the ADDIE model. This study discusses the design stage. The subjects of this study
were teachers and students of eight-grade of Muhammadiyah Pleret Junior High School
(MBS), Yogyakarta. The research data was obtained by interviewing to describe students'
needs, and learning information used, as well as document analysis to analyze curriculum,
learning materials, and teaching materials. Data analysis techniques use qualitative
analysis. This study produced a pop up book design that was in accordance with the
analysis of student needs, student characteristics, curriculum, materials, learning
methods, and teaching materials. Pop up books are designed based on RME and are
designed to improve students' spatial abilities. This research can be developed at the
development, implementation, and evaluation.
