Abstrak
Perkembangan perangkat Internet Of Things (IOT) kini kian menjamur diseluruh wilayah khususnya
wilayah yang saat ini dengan gencarnya menerapkan konsep smart city. Perkembangan arsitektur IOT (Internet of
things) berkembang sangat pesat dengan banyaknya perangkat IOT saat ini. Hal ini berbanding lurus dengan
semakin banyaknya protocol dan service pengiriman data yang dapat digunakan untuk jalur komunikasi perangkat
IOT tersebut. Maka diperlukan integrasi sitem. Saat ini Restful Web Service adalah solusi dalam integrasi sistem
karena tanpa melihat platform, arsitektur maupun bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan oleh device yang
berbeda. Namun pada Restful web service keamanan yang ada masih dirasa kurang. Penerapan JSON Web
Token (JWT) pada Restful web service akan sangat berpengaruh dalam hal keamanan data, karena JWT
merupakan mekanisme autentikasi pada layanan web service. Pada makalah ini akan dibahas optimasi keamanan
JWT dengan Algoritma HMAC SHA-512 yang akan dibandingkan dengan Algoritma SHA-256 dan RSA-512.

Abstract
The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) device is now increasingly mushrooming throughout the
region, especially in the region which is currently with the incessant implementation of the smart city concept. The
development of the IoT (Internet of things) architecture is growing very rapidly with the many IoT devices nowadays.
This is directly proportional to the increasing number of protocols and data transmission services that can be used
for communication channels of the IoT devices. Then the system integration is needed. Currently Restful Web
Service is a solution to system integration because without looking at the platform, architecture or programming
language used by different devices. But the existing Restful web security service is still lacking. The application of
JSON Web Token (JWT) to a Restful web service will be very influential in terms of data security, because JWT is
an authentication mechanism for web service services. In this paper we will discuss JWT security optimization with
HMAC SHA-512 algorithm which will be compared with the SHA-256 and RSA-512 Algorithms.
