KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS

SISWA SMA NEGERI DI KOTA YOGYAKARTA DALAM MATA


PELAJARAN BIOLOGI DITINJAU DARI JENJANG KELAS
ABILITY OF CREATIVE THINKING TOWARD STUDENT’S SCIENCE PROCESS SKILL OF
STATE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN YOGYAKARTA IN BIOLOGY SUBJECT BASED ON THE
GRADE

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat berpikir kreatif keterampilan proses sains siswa
SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta dalam Mata Pelajaran Biologi ditinjau dari jenjang kelas. Penelitian ini
merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode survei yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2014
hingga Maret 2015. Populasi penelitian ini yakni siswa kelas X dan XI di sebelas SMA Negeri se-Kota
Yogyakarta. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan diperoleh 22 kelas dengan
jumlah sampel 644 siswa. Variabel tergayut dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat berpikir kreatif keterampilan
proses sains dalam Mata Pelajaran Biologi dan variabel bebas yakni jenjang kelas serta aspek gender dan
kefavoritan sekolah sebagai variabel penjelas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan
berpikir kreatif keterampilan proses sains. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan program Quest dan
statistika deskriptif. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif keterampilan proses sains pada siswa SMA menunjukkan
adanya perbedaan yakni secara keseluruhan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas XI lebih baik
dibandingkan siswa kelas X. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan yang tergolong sulit oleh siswa
X adalah keterampilan membuat inferensi, keterampilan menyeleksi prosedur, keterampilan melaksanakan
investigasi, dan keterampilan melaporkan hasil investigasi, sedangkan siswa XI kesulitan dalam keterampilan
melakukan pengamatan, keterampilan merekam data, keterampilan mengimplementasikan prosedur,
keterampilan membuat prediksi keterampilan membuat inferensi, keterampilan merancang investigasi, dan
keterampilan melaporkan hasil investigasi. Hasil rata-rata skor logit dan simpangan baku yang diperoleh siswa
kelas X yakni -0,37 + 0,32 dan kelas XI yakni -0,33 + 0,30. Maka dapat disimpulkan tingkat berpikir kreatif
keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X dan kelas XI masih tergolong rendah.

Abstract
This research aimed to know the level of creative thinking toward students science process skill of state
senior high school in Yogyakarta in biology subject based on grade. This research was a descriptive research.
It used survey method which was conducted on December 2014 until March 2015. The research population
were students at the grade X and XI from eleven State senior highschools in Yogyakarta.Researcher used
cluster random sampling to choose the sample; 22 classes. So, The total was 644 students. The dependent
variable of this research was the level of creative thinking of science process skill in the biology subject and
the indipendent variable was grade, the explanatory variables were gender and favorability school. The
collecting data technic used test of ability of creative thinking of science process skill. In addition, the colected
data was analyzed using Quest program and descriptive stastics. The result showed that it was difficult for
students at grade X to create inference, to select procedure, and to do the investigation. In the other hand, It
was difficult for students at grade XI to observe, to record the data, to implement procedure, to predict, to set
the investigation, and to report the the result of investigation. The creative thinking of science process skill
toward students of state senior high school showed that there was difference. Mostly, Creative thinking
mastery of students at grade XI was better than students at grade X. The average of logit score and standard
deviation based on students at grade X was -0, 37 + 0,30. In conclusion, the level of creative thinking of
science process skill toward students at the grade X and XI was low.
