Abstrak
Latar Belakang: Model asuhan keperawatan menyediakan infrastruktur untuk mengatur dan memberikan asuhan kepada
pasien dan keluarga. Selama beberapa dekade, berbagai model telah berubah dan menyusut. Sejak 1980-an, model
keperawatan primer telah semakin menonjol. Namun, tidak ada bukti penelitian sistematis tentang efek dari model ini
untuk pasien, anggota keluarga mereka, staf perawat atau organisasi perawatan. Subjek ini memiliki banyak relevansi
saat ini karena persyaratan untuk mengembangkan asuhan keperawatan berbasis bukti.
Tujuan: Untuk menggambarkan efek dari model keperawatan primer untuk pasien, anggota keluarga mereka, staf
keperawatan dan organisasi perawatan.
Desain: Tinjauan literatur yang sistematis. Studi yang dipilih untuk ditinjau (n = 9) dinilai untuk kualitas menggunakan Alat
Penilaian Kualitas untuk Studi Kuantitatif, yang dikembangkan oleh Proyek Praktik Kesehatan Masyarakat yang Efektif.
Sumber data: Data penelitian dikumpulkan dari empat database dari Januari 1990 hingga Maret 2013.
Hasil: Penelitian tentang efek model keperawatan primer sebagian besar terbatas pada efek untuk pasien dan staf perawat.
Tidak ada data yang tersedia tentang bagaimana hal itu mempengaruhi anggota keluarga pasien atau organisasi
perawatan. Bukti awal menunjukkan bahwa model keperawatan primer mungkin memiliki efek menguntungkan bagi
pasien dalam konteks asuhan maternitas. Ada sedikit bukti tentang efek positif model keperawatan primer untuk staf
keperawatan. Namun, ada kemungkinan bahwa model berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan rasa kontrol pekerjaan dan
