MUH. FAJRI RAMADHAN. Pengaruh Variasi Massa Ragi Roti
xi ABSTRACT
MUH. FAJRI RAMADHAN. The Effect of Bread yeast Mass Variation
(Saccharomyces Sereviseae) On The Rendemen Of Alcohol Generated From VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) Waste (guided by Dr. H. Arifin, M.Si. and Rahmanpiu, S.Pd., M.Si).
Research on Effect of Bread Mass (Saccharomyces Sereviseae) Effect on
Rendemen Of Alcohol produced from VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) liquid waste. This study aims to: (1) Determine the optimum mass of fermentation in the manufacture of alcohol by the addition of baking yeast on Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) waste. This research method is experiment of making alcohol from skim / waste of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). The obtained skim was fermented using Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast to see the optimum mass of the fermentation process using 5 yeast mass variations ie 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 gram then continued by distillation method. The results showed that: (1) The effect of optimum yeast bread addition of liquid virgin coconut oil (VCO) fermentation which is in addition to 5 gram of yeast. (2) The yield of alcohol produced from Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) waste is 9.2%. Thus, the addition of fermented bread yeast greatly affect the yield of the alcohol produced.
Keywords: Skim, fermentation, distillation, rendemen of alcohol.
