Pembelajaran mata kuliah power transmision membahas proses penghantaran tenaga

listrik secara besar-besaran dari pembangkit listrik, ke gardu listrik. Jalur yang terinterkoneksi
untuk memfasilitasi penghantaran ini dikenal sebagai jaringan transmisi listrik. Transmisi berbeda
dengan proses penghantaran listrik dari gardu ke pengguna, yang biasanya disebut sebagai
distribusi tenaga listrik. Kombinasi dari jaringan transmisi dan distribusi listrik dikenal sebagai
"sistem kelistrikan". Sebagian besar jalur transmisi menghantarkan listrik berarus bolak-balik tiga
fasa tegangan tinggi, walaupun arus bolak-balik satu fasa terkadang juga digunakan dalam
elektrifikasi perkeretaapian. Teknologi arus searah bertegangan tinggi juga digunakan untuk

Learning power transmission courses discuss the process of delivering electricity on a


large scale from power plants, to power stations. The interconnected pathway to facilitate this
delivery is known as the electricity transmission network. Transmission differs from the process
of delivering electricity from substations to users, which is usually referred to as the distribution
of electricity. The combination of electricity transmission and distribution networks is known as
an "electrical system". Most transmission lines carry alternating three-phase high-voltage
electricity, although alternating current of one phase is sometimes also used in railroad
electrification. High voltage direct current technology is also used to conduct electricity over very
long distances (usually hundreds of miles) because it is more efficient than alternating current.

Saat pembelajaran dikelas dilaksanakan, secara teori tidak mudah memahami materi
pembelajaran power transmision karena banyak konsep yang harus dicermati juga beberapa
rumus yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan cukup rumit. Ditambah bahasa
pengantar yang digunakan selama dikelas menggunakan bahasa inggris, sehingga kami belum
terbiasa yang mengakibatkan lebih sulit untuk memahami materi pembelajaran yang
disampaikan. Namun dengan pendekatan metode pembelajaran dikelas yang cukup interaktif
membuat iklim belajar menjadi lebih menarik. Perpaduan metode belajar kelompok dan
presentasi kelompok yang tidak hanya sebatas menyampaikan materi, namun juga dengan
penyelesaian beberapa permasalahan membuat pembelajaran lebih hidup. Saya harap metode
pembelajaran seperti ini tetap dipertahankan agar kualitas Mahasiswa meningkat.

When learning in class is implemented, it is theoretically not easy to understand the


power transmission learning material because there are many concepts that must be observed
as well as some formulas used to solve problems that are quite complicated. Plus the language
of instruction used during class using English, so we are not used to it which makes it more
difficult to understand the learning material delivered. However, the approach to learning
methods in class that is quite interactive makes the learning climate more interesting. The
combination of group learning methods and group presentations that are not only limited to
delivering material, but also by solving several problems make learning more lively. I hope that
this learning method will be maintained so that the quality of students increases.

some things learned after I attended this lecture are as follows:

1. High voltage generating and testing techniques, including among other types of H.V
testing. in laboratories, plants and testing with A.C. generation and testing with D.C. voltage,
generating and testing with impulse voltage.

2. Isolation coordination, which involves issues of coordination of isolation between


electrical equipment on the one hand and protective equipment on the other.

3. some of the symptoms of high voltage, which will be discussed among others about
corona, radio interference, television interference and audible noise.

4. Some components of high voltage equipment, for example insulators, dielectric


materials, bushings, and others

5. High voltage instrumentation, for example oscillographs and special meters for
measuring high voltage
6. The connecting surge, which is related to the increase in voltage along with the increase
in power that must be supplied, plays a decisive role in determining insulation.
