Technology has changed rapidly according to their needs. One technology that
is often encountered is a smartphone. Smartphones are not only used teenagers and
adults but also extended to children aged 7-12 years. But in its development, the child
has not been so in need of a smartphone because it can reduce socialization.
Socialization is important for adaptation to the surrounding mainly of an
environmental school.
This study aims to determine the relationship habits of children playing
smartphone with socializing with school friends. Design This study uses an analytical
approach korelation with cross selection. The population in the study all students MI
Darussalam number 396. Total sample of 58 students with simple random sampling
sampling techniques. Instrument data collection using questionnaire and interview
sheet. Data analysis using Spearman Rho. Presentation of data in table form.
The results showed that the habits of children playing smartphone 46,% lower
categories. As for the value of socialization 69.0% moderate category. In conclusion,
there is no relationship between the child's habits play smartphone with the
socialization of school friends (ρ = 0956)
Children ages 7-12 years of age terkategori vulnerable. Age who want all to
know everything that comes from the Smartphone. For the child's growth and
development towards maturity, essential assistance and supervision of parents.
