 The Ant and the Dove

One hot day, an ant was searching for some water. After walking around for some
time, she came to a spring. To reach the spring, she had to climb up a blade of grass. While
making her way up, she slipped and fell into the water.

She could have drowned if a dove up a nearby tree had not seen her. Seeing that the
ant was in trouble, the dove quickly plucked off a leaf and dropped it into the water near the
struggling ant. The ant moved towards the leaf and climbed up there. Soon it carried her
safely to dry ground.

Not long after at that time, a hunter nearby was throwing out his net towards the dove,
hoping to trap it.

Guessing what he was about to do, the ant quickly bit him on the heel. Feeling the
pain, the hunter dropped his net. The dove was quick to fly away to safety.

The morality : One good turn deserves another.

Semut dan Merpati

Suatu hari yang panas , semut sedang mencari air . Setelah berjalan sekitar untuk
beberapa waktu , dia tiba ke sebuah mata air . Untuk mencapai air, dia harus memanjat
rumput . Sementara membuat jalan ke atas , dia terpeleset dan jatuh ke dalam air .

Dia bisa saja tenggelam jika merpati di sebuah pohon di dekatnya tidak melihatnya .
Melihat bahwa semut itu dalam kesulitan , burung merpati cepat memetik daun dan
menjatuhkannya ke dalam air dekat semut. Semut bergerak menuju daun dan naik di atas
sana . Merpati segera membawanya dengan aman ke tanah kering . Semut sangat berterima
kasih.
 Tak lama kemudian, seorang pemburu datang melempar jaring ke arah burung
merpati , untuk menjebaknya.

Mengetahui hal itu semut dengan cepat menggigit tumit si pemburu. Merasakan sakit ,
pemburu menjatuhkan jalanyanya . Merpati cepat untuk terbang ke tempat yang aman.

Pesan moralnya : Kebaikan akan dibalas dengan kebaikan

 The Legend Of Prambanan Temple

Once, there was a beautiful Javanese princess whose name was Rara Jonggrang. Rara
Jonggrang whose beauty was very famous in the land was the daughter of Prabu Baka, and
evil king.

One day, a handsome young man with super natural power named Bandung
Bondowoso defatted and killed Prabu Baka. On seeing Princess Rara Jonggrang’s
beauty, Bandung Bondowoso fell in love wither and wantted to marry her.

Meanwhile, Princess Rara jonggrang felt sad due to her death father. She did not want
to marry Bandung because he had killed her father. But she was also afraid of Bandung. So to
refuse politely, she made a condition. "I will marry you but you have to build one thousand
temples in one night as a wedding gift" requested Rara Jonggrang. Bandung Bondowoso
agreed with the condition. Helped by the spirit of the demons, Bandung Bondowoso started
building the temples. Approaching midnight, the work would nearly be done. Rara Jonggrang
knew and thought, "What shall I do? Bandung Bondowoso is smarter than I. I would lose
against Bandung."

Suddenly she got an idea. She woke up all the women in the palace and ordered them
to make the noisy sounds of grinding rice so that the rooster thought at had already been
dawn. Bandung Bondowoso got frustrated because he failed completing the thousandth
temple.

"The Princess has deceived me!" Following his anger, he cursed Roro Jonggrang,
"You have been cheated. Now, the thousandth temple is you!"

At once, the Princess turned into a statue. knowing this, Bandung Bondowoso
regretted and he went away into a farm land. From then people called the temple Prambanan
Temple and the Princess statue Rara Jonggrang statue.

Legenda Candi Prambanan

Suata masa, ada seorang putri Jawa indah yang bernama Rara Jonggrang. Rara
Jonggrang yang keindahan sangat terkenal di tanah adalah putri Prabu Baka, dan raja yang
jahat.

Suatu hari, seorang pemuda tampan dengan kekuatan alam yang super bernama
Bandung Bondowoso defatted dan membunuh Prabu Baka. Pada melihat keindahan Putri
Rara Jonggrang itu, Bandung Bondowoso jatuh cinta melayu dan wantted menikahinya.

Anda, tetapi Anda harus membangun seribu candi dalam satu malam sebagai hadiah
pernikahan" meminta Rara Jonggrang. Bandung Bondowoso setuju dengan kondisi. Dibantu
oleh semangat setan, Bandung Bondowoso mulai membangun candi. Mendekati tengah
malam, pekerjaan akan hampir dilakukan. Rara Jonggrang tahu dan berpikir, "Apa yang harus
saya lakukan? Bandung Bondowoso lebih pintar dari I. Saya akan kalah melawan Bandung."

Tiba-tiba dia punya ide. Dia bangun semua wanita di istana dan memerintahkan
mereka untuk membuat suara berisik dari penggilingan padi sehingga ayam pikir pada sudah

The Legend of Kesodo Feast in Mount Bromo

 Hundreds years ago, the last king of Majapahit had a young princess from one of his
wives. The princess was named Roro Anteng. Later, Roro Anteng married Joko Seger, who
came from Brahman caste.

Because of unfortunate situation the couple was forced to leave the kingdom. They
settled in the mountain area. They ruled the area and named it Tengger, which was derived
from their names, Roro Anteng and Joko Seger.

After several years of reign, the region flourished in prosperity, but Roro Anteng and
Joko Seger were sad because they did not have a child. They climbed the top of mountain and
prayed there night and day hoping that the God would listen. The prayer was heard and
Betoro Bromo promised to give them many children. However, they had to promise that they
would sacrifice their youngest child in return.

Roro Anteng  gave birth to a child, then another and another. In the end, Roro Anteng
and Joko Seger had 25 children. Soon it was time to sacrifice the youngest child , Kusuma,
but the parents could not do it. They tried to hide him, but an eruption happened and Kusuma
fell into the crater. There was silence before they heard a voice. “I have to be sacrificed so
that you will all stay alive. From now on, you should arrange an annual offering ceremony on
the 14th of Kesodo (the twelfth month of Tengerese calendar)”. It was Kusuma’s voice.
Kusuma’s brothers and sisters held the offering ceremony every year. Instead of human
being, they collected fruits, vegetables, rice, and meat to be off to the Gods. And this has
been done generation after generation until today.

Legenda Perayaan Kesodo Di Gunung Bromo

Ratusan tahun yang lalu, raja terakhir Majapahit memiliki seorang putri muda dari
salah satu istrinya. Sang putri bernama Roro Anteng. Kemudian, Roro Anteng menikah Joko
Seger, yang berasal dari kasta Brahmana.

Karena situasi yang tidak menguntungkan pasangan terpaksa meninggalkan kerajaan.

The Fox and the Grapes

 One afternoon a fox was walking through the forest and spotted a bunch of grapes
hanging from over a lofty branch. “Just the thing to quench my thirst,” quoted the fox.

Taking a few steps back, the fox jumped and just missed the hanging grapes. Again
the fox took a few paces back and tried to reach them but still failed.

Short StoriesFinally, giving up, the fox turned up his nose and said, “They’re
probably sour anyway,” and proceeded to walk away.

Vacation to London
 2 months ago, my family and I got vacation in london. I was with my parents to go to
London during the school holidays. We looked at travel agents and booked tickets. Arriving
there, we went to the British Embassy to obtain a visa in order to enter the UK. We had
booked a fourteen day tour. This included accommodation, roads and traveling tours around
London. We went to London with large Boeing plane. We were in the plane about 14 hours
for the trip.

On the plane, the flight attendants were very friendly. They gave newspapers and
magazines so that we could read and not easily bored. They also gave us food and drink and
not to forget the movie for entertainment as well. They provided a very pleasant flight
services. We were able to fall asleep when we were in the plane.
when we arrived at Heathrow airport, we had to go to the Customs and Immigration. The
officials are very kind. They checked our documents carefully and serve us with a very polite
and friendly. my family and I should collect our bags and went to London. Our bags were
already set to be transferred to the hotel.

Hotel which we live were the famous four-star hotel. We got a perfect view of the
park. The room had bathroom and toilet too. On the third floor, there were a restaurant that
has a wide variety of foods. they were able to present the Asian and European food.

Two weeks in London passed quickly. At the end of 14-days, we were pretty tired but
we feel very happy.

tiket. Sesampainya disana, kami pergi ke Kedutaan Besar Inggris untuk mendapatkan visa
agar dapat masuk ke Inggris. Kami telah memesan empat belas hari tour. Ini termasuk
akomodasi, jalan jalan dan juga termasuk wisata di sekitar London. Kami telah naik pesawat
Boeing besar. Kami berada dalam pesawat itu sekitar 14 jam untuk perjalanan.
 Di dalam pesawat, terdapat pramugari yang sangat ramah. Mereka memberi koran dan
majalah agar kita dapat membaca dan tidak mudah bosan. Mereka juga  memberi kami
makanan dan minuman dan Tak lupa film untuk hiburan juga. Mereka memberikan
pelayanan penerbangan yang sangat menyenangkan. Kami pun dapat  tertidur pulas ketika
kami berada dalam pesawat.

Ketika Kami sampai di bandara Heathrow, kami harus pergi ke Bea dan Imigrasi.
Disana terdapat Para petugas yang baik. Mereka memeriksa dokumen kami dengan hati-hati
dan melayani kami dengan sangat sopan dan ramah. keluargaku dan aku mengumpulkan tas
kami dan pergi ke London. Tas kami sudah diatur untuk ditransfer ke hotel.

Hotel yang kami singgahi adalah hotel bintang empat yang terkenal. Kami mendapat
pemandangan taman yang sempurna. Kamar memiliki kamar mandi dan toilet sendiri. Di
lantai tiga, ada restoran yang memiliki berbagai jenis makanan. mereka mampu menyajikan
makanan Asia dan Eropa.

Dua minggu di London berlalu cepat. Pada akhir 14-hari, kami cukup lelah tetapi
kami merasa sangat bahagia.
