Latar Belakang : Kondisi demam pada anak tidak hanya karena adanya
penyakit tapi juga dialami setelah mendapatkan imunisasi dasar. Salah satu
tindakan non farmakologi terhadap penurunan demam adalah kompres sebagai
metode pemeliharaan suhu tubuh. Untuk menurunakan suhu tubuh, dikenal juga
obat demam tradisional dengan cuka yang juga efektif meredakan demam.
Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompres cuka terhadap penurunan suhu
tubuh pada anak typhoid fever
Metode : Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre eksperimental one
group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia 0-12
tahun yang mengalami demam di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Lingsar. Jumlah
sampel sebanyak 40 sampel dengan purposive sampling.
Hasil : Hasil uji statistik menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon diperoleh nilai p value =
0,00 atau p < α = 0,05
Kesimpulan : Ada pengaruh kompres cuka terhadap penurunan suhu tubuh
pada anak typhoid fever di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Lingsar.
Saran : Diharapkan unit pelayanan kesehatan dapat menggunakan intervensi
ini sebagai tambahan dalam penanganan demam dengan tekhnik non
farmakologi.

SILVIA RISMAWATI : The effect of apple cider vinegar compresses on
decreasing body temperature in typhoid fever children in the working area of the
Lingsar Public Health Center in 2021 (under guidance H.Jubair, SKM.,M.Kes
and Mardiatun, M.Kep)

Background : Fever conditions in children are not only due to illness but are
also experienced after receiving basic immunizations. One of the non-
pharmacological measures to reduce fever is compresses as a method of
maintaining body temperature. To lower body temperature, it is also known as
traditional fever medicine with vinegar which effectively relieves fever.
Purposes : This study aims to determine the effect of apple cider vinegar
compresses on decreasing body temperature in children with typhoid fever.
Methods : The research design used was pre-experimental one group pre test-
post test. The population in this study were children aged 0-12 years who had a
fever in the working area of the Lingsar Public Health Center. The samples is 40
with purposive sampling.
Result : The results of statistical test using the Wilcoxon test obtained p value =
0,00 or p < α=0,05
Conclusions : There is an effect of vinegar compresses on decreasing body
temperature in typhoid fever children in the working area of the Lingsar Public
Health Center
Suggestions : It is hoped that the health service unit can use interventions as
an addition to the management of fever with non-pharmacological techniques
