Report adalah jenis teks dalam bahasa inggris yang menyajikan informasi tentang suatu hal secara
faktual atau apa adanya. Teks ini adalah hasil dari observasi dan analisa secara sistematis teks ini hampir
mirip deengan deskriptif teks karna sama-sama memberikan gambaran secara langsung tentang
seseorang atau suatu benda namun diantara keduanya tetap ada perbedaan.

Jika kita berbicara tentang benda atau seseorang secara spesifik seperti warna, gaya, nama, dan
sebagainya itu disebut deskriptive text. Beda hal nya apabila kita berbicara tentang benda atau
seseorang secara umum meliputi bagian-bagiannya kekuatannya fungsinya atau sifat umum lain dari
benda atau seseorang tersebutitu disebut sebagai report text. Ciri lain dari report text yaitu ilmiah, apa
adanya, dan tida terdapat opini subjektif dari penulis.

 Karakteristik of report text

kata yang merujuk pada sesuatu secara umum
Contohnya, tigers are wild. Dalam kalimat tersebut, harimau yang dimaksud adalah
harimau secara umum, tidak spesifik pada satu ekr harimau tertentu
o Verbs terdapat dua jenis verb yaitu
- Relating verb to describes feature: molecules are tiny particles
- Action verb to describes behaviour: tiger cannot fly
o Simple present tense:
untuk menyatakan suatu kebenaran atau fakta ilmiah Contohnya: komodo dragon is the
world’s heaviest lizard,weighing 150 pounds or more
o General classification Bagian ini akan memperkenalkan topik dari tulisan atau fenomena
yang tengah di bahas. Bentuknya bisa berupa deskripsi singkat tentang sebuah subjek
o Description
Bagian ini akan memaparkan lebih lanjut hal-hal yang lebih rinci terkait dengan subjek
yang di bahas sebelum nya, bisa seperti bentuk fisik, bagian, perilaku, dan hal hal rinci
lain nya
 Skin

Skin is the outer layer of the body. In human being, it is the largest organ of the system that vonvers our
body. Our skin has a function to protect our body from infection and extreme temperatures, maintain
fluid balance, and synthesize vitamin D for our personal needs. Skin has three main layers, which are
epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis that have their respective tasks and need each other. The epidermis
layers is the outermost layers of the skin. This layer does not contain blood vessels, and is formed from
merkel cells. This layer contaons hair follicles, swet glands, sebaceuos glands, apocrine grlands,
lymphatic vessels and blood vessles. This layer is connected to the epidermis layer with the basement
membrane.

Dari teks diatas dapat kita identifikasi bahwa general classification terdapat pada paragraf pertama
karena mengandung infoemasi faktual dan suatu kebenaran mengenai kulit. Sedangkan di paragraf
kedua lebih kepada deskriptif lebih lanjut mengenai bagian-bagian kulit secara lebih rinci

Thunder lighting

Thunder lightning is a sudden, shocked, and very fast electric force betwen the cloud and ground, or
between cluds. The speed of thunder can be several miles long. It is so hot, with average temperatures
of 34.000` celcius, that cause surrounding air suddenly expanding with a loud explosion and sound. This
is why something we can hear thunder, the most dangerous type of cloud caused by lightning is calle
cumulonimbus.

When the cloud rises high enough the moisture freezes and creates crystal ices and snowflakes. It began
to fall, pushing the rain on the ay down. This is more humid, rainy air, and it is the friction between
those who generate static electricity. When the cloud is fully charged with electricity it will burst as a
flash of lightning. So lightning suddenly appears before the rain and the sounds are very loud.
