RENCANA PELAKSANAAN PEMBELAJARAN

Tema : Congratulations
Waktu : 6 x 40 menit (3 pertemuan)

A. TUJUAN PEMBELAJARAN
1. Siswa dapat mengenali macam dan menerapkan ungkapan ucapan selamat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
2. Siswa dapat menerapkan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan teks ungkapan memberi
doa/harapan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
3. Siswa dapat memahami fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan teks interaksi interpersonal lisan
dan tulis yang melibatkan tindakan: menyatakan harapan, doa, dan ucapan selamat, serta menanggapinya,
sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya.

B. LANGKAH-LANGKAH KEGIATAN PEMBELAJARAN


Kegiatan Pendahuluan
1. Guru mengucapkan salam pembuka dan mengajak siswa untuk berdoa sebelum memulai
pembelajaran daring melalui WA Group
2. Guru memeriksa kehadiran siswa dengan meminta siswa mengisi list daftar hadir
3. Guru melakukan apersepsi dan menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran
Kegiatan Inti
Pertemuan 1. Guru menyajikan materi dengan mengirimkan modul pembelajaran tentang
ke-1 expressions of congratulations dan responnya melalui WA Group.
2. Siswa diminta membaca dan mengerjakan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) yang
terdapat dalam modul.
Pertemuan 1. Guru menyajikan materi dengan mengirimkan modul pembelajaran tentang
ke-2 hopes/wishes melalui WA Group.
2. Guru meminta siswa untuk membaca referensi dari buku paket
3. Siswa diminta melengkapi percakapan dengan membuat kalimat berisi ungkapan
congratulations and hopes/wishes.
Pertemuan 1. Guru membagikan soal penilaian harian melalui Google Classroom.
ke-3 2. Siswa diberikan kode kelas untuk masuk GC dan kemudian diminta
mengerjakan soal sesuai petunjuk.
Kegiatan Penutup
1. Guru dan peserta didik melakukan refleksi terhadap seluruh aktivitas pembelajaran yang
dilakukan dengan menyimpulkan butir-butir pokok materi yang telah dipelajari
2. Guru menutup kegiatan pembelajaran daring dengan mengucapkan salam penutup.
C. PENILAIAN
1. Penilaian Sikap: Observasi (jurnal) dengan melihat keaktifan siswa dalam presensi maupun ketepatan waktu
dalam mengerjakan tugas.
2. Penilaian Pengetahuan: Tes Tertulis berupa tugas dan ulangan harian yang harus dikerjakan siswa setelah
mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran daring (instrumen terlampir)
3. Penilaian Keterampilan: Writing skill dengan membuat kalimat yang memuat ungkapan memberi ucapan
selamat dan harapan/doa yang sesuai dengan konteks/situasi yang diberikan.

Congratulating someone takes place in everyday life as there are many moments worth celebrating. When we
want to congratulate someone, of course we can say Congratulations! But do you know there is a variety ways to
say congratulation?
Here are some expressions of congratulations and the proper responses
Expressions:
a) I would be the first to congratulate you on your promotion
b) I would like to congratulate you on your acceptance to the university
c) Please accept my warmest congratulations on having a baby boy
d) May I congratulate you on your happiest day?

Responses:

Pertemuan 2
Ucapan selamat (congratulations) erat kaitannya dengan ungkapan harapan (hopes/wishes). Ketika mengucapkan
selamat kita seringkali menambahkan ungkapan harapan untuk mendoakan atas keberhasilan, prestasi dan
keberuntungan orang lain. Beberapa contoh ungkapan memberi harapan adalah sebagai berikut

Examples:
- I wish you all the best.
- I hope you’re having a great day on your wedding.

Di bawah ini diberikan situasi dan percakapan tentang ucapan selamat dan harapan. Situasi 1 sudah digunakan
sebagai contoh untuk membuat percakapan 1.
Selanjutnya berdasarkan situasi yang diberikan, lengkapilah percakapan 2 – 4 menggunakan ungkapan
congratulations and wishes/hopes.
