AIMS AND SCOPE
ARTEKS : Jurnal Teknik Arsitektur is a medium of scholarly publication published by the Widya Mandira Catholic
University's Faculty of Engineering Architecture Study Program, an institution of Catholic higher education
institutions, in collaboration with Indonesia Architect Association of [IAI] NTT Region, Indonesian Assisted
Environment Research Association [IPBLI] and Indonesia Writers Guild [SATUPENA RI]. It serves several goals
i.e., being a medium of communication, dissemination and exchange of information, and a medium of publishing
scholarly research in the field of Architecture. ARTEKS : Jurnal Teknik Arsitektur covers general as well as specific
issues in the field of Architecture such as: (1) Theory, history, architectural design; (2) Architectural science and
technology; (3) Urban architecture and design; (4) House and housing architecture; (5) Interior and exterior design.
The journal, which serves as a forum for the study of Indonesian architecture, supports focused studies of particular
themes and interdisciplinary studies in relation to the subject. It has become a medium of exchange of ideas and
research findings from various traditions of learning that have interacted in the scholarly manner. All material
submitted to ARTEKS : Jurnal Teknik Arsitektur is subject to rigorous peer reviews using the 'double-blind' referee
process. The Editorial Board, which was enhanced by regional editors in around seven countries, welcomes
contributions from all over the world. This is the express purpose of the ARTEKS : Jurnal Teknik Arsitektur to
influence the future of architecture and its acceptance nationally and internationally by publishing innovative
contributions to every aspect of architectural business.
The manuscript articles should be submitted by online in MS Word / Open Office / PDF file format to Editorial
Office throught Online Submission interface at: https://journal.unwira.ac.id/index.php/ARTEKS/index. The
Author must read the author guidelines of this journal first before submitting a manuscript.

INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS

The ar cles (paper) must be an architecture research result or a scien fic study of researchers
in architecture, especially from individual architects, theore cal texts, design theory,
1 architectural culture (vernacular), sustainability, technology, everyday buildings, pedagogy,
visual culture, ar s c prac ce, and urbanism.
The ar cles must be original and have never been published or are being submi ed to
2 another journal. Ar cles ever presented in a forum, such as seminars, should be men oned
forum. Authors must fill in the declara on form ARTEKS : Jurnal Teknik Arsitektur.
3 All submi ed paper have to be wri en by referring to CHICAGO style (author-date).

All ar cles (paper) are submi ed through online journal system. If you already have an
4 acount, you may log in first. If you don't, please REGISTER to the system.
Ar cle (paper) is wri en in Indonesian or English properly 3000 - 4000 words two (2) column,
1 paragraph spacing, A4 paper (a margin of 3 cm on the Outside, top, bo om, and 4 cm on
5 the Inside), font Times New Roman 10, with MS word program. To facilitate the process of

follows:
Title: wri en and concise, maximum 14 words containing the keyword, and should reflect the
1 substance of architecture described in the ar cle body.
The author's name: it is wri en under the tle, without a tle. The author can be an
2 individual or a team, and all of the authors listed.
Agencies and address of the author: author wri en ins tu ons of origin, email address,
3 which is located under the author's name.
Abstract: wri en in Indonesian and English, which consists of 150 to 200 words and wri en in
4
one paragraph that contains (1) the purpose, (2) methods, and (3) the results of the research.
Keywords: filled words or terms that reflect the essence of the concept within the scope of
5 the problems can consist of several pieces of words / terms. Key words wri en under the
abstract with a distance of one line and italicized.

Body: consists of (1) an introduc on that includes a background, (2) procedures / means /
methods, (3) the results of research and discussion, (4) conclusion. INTRODUCTION:
background, issues and literature review; APPROACH / PROCEDURE / METHOD / METHODS:
6 unbiased approach / method / methods used; FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION: contains the
results of research and discussion of these results; CONCLUSION: The study outlines
conclusions in line with problems discussed.
Figures: should be high quality (1200 dpi for line art, 600 dpi for grayscale and 300 dpi for
colour, at the correct size). Figures should be supplied in one of our preferred file formats:
7 EPS, PS, JPEG, GIF, or Microso Word (DOC or DOCX). To facilitate clear
reproduc on, all photographs and images must be sent in their originals and cited the
original sources.
Tables: should present new informa on rather than duplica ng what is in the text. Readers
8 should be able to interpret the table without reference to the text. Please supply editable
files.
9 Units: please use SI units (non-italicized).

Reference: cul vated from primary sources (journals / magazines scien fic or research
report) and current / latest (maximum 5 years). Bibliography only lists the sources referenced
10 in the ar cle body, minimal 20 references. Otherwise the name referenced in the body must
exist in the reference. The reference is compiled using CHICAGO Style (author-date) methods
and is required to use standard cita on applica ons (Zotero, Mendeley, Endnote, etc).
