ABSTRAK

Air Susu Ibu (ASI) eksklusif merupakan makanan terbaik untuk tumbuh kembang bayi pada usia
0-6 bulan. ASI eksklusif memiliki kandungan sebagai antibodi yang dapat melindungi bayi dari
berbagai macam penyakit. Berdasarkan hasil Riskesdas Tahun 2017 persentasi ASI eksklusif di
Indonesia sebesar 48,7%, ini membuktikan masih banyak ibu yang tidak memberikan ASI
eksklusif pada bayinya. Pemberian ASI eksklusif merupakan perilaku kesehatan yang dapat
dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Ibu bekerja merupakan salah satu faktor yang menghalangi
pemberian ASI eksklusif, sedangkan jumlah ibu bekerja terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Tujuan
dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemberian
ASI eksklusif pada ibu bekerja di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tigo baleh Kota Bukitinggi. Faktor-
faktor yang diteliti adalah pengetahuan, fasilitas laktasi, sikap, dan dukungan suami. Penelitian
ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional pendekatan
retrospektif yang melibatkan 42 responden. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling
menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat, dan bivariat (Rank
Spearmen). Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa ada hubungan antara pendidikan (p-value 0,441),
fasilitas laktasi (p-value 0,570), sikap (p-value 0,474), dan dukungan suami (p-value 0,483)
terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu bekerja di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tigo Baleh
Kota Bukitinggi. Diharapkan adanya peningkatan dukungan tenaga kesehatan untuk melakukan
promosi kesehatan, sehingga pada saat ibu bekerja kembali bekerja, ibu tersebut sudah memiliki
persiapan untuk terus memberikan ASI eksklusif sehingga pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu
bekerja semakin bertambah.

ABSTRACT

Exclusive breast milk (ASI) is the best food for baby growth and development at the age of 0-6
months. Exclusive breastfeeding contains antibodies that can protect babies from various
diseases. Based on the results of Riskesdas in 2017, the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding in
Indonesia is 48.7%, this proves that there are still many mothers who do not give exclusive
breastfeeding to their babies. Exclusive breastfeeding is a health behavior that can be influenced
by several factors. Working mothers are one of the factors that prevent exclusive breastfeeding,
while the number of working mothers continues to increase every year. The purpose of this study
was to determine the factors associated with exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers in the
Tigo Baleh Health Center Work Area, Bukitinggi City. The factors studied were knowledge,
lactation facilities, attitudes, and husband's support. This study is an analytic observational study
with a retrospective cross sectional design involving 42 respondents. The sample was taken by
purposive sampling technique using a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate
analysis (Rank Spearmen). The results showed that there was a relationship between education
(p-value 0.441), lactation facilities (p-value 0.570), attitude (p-value 0.474), and husband's
support (p-value 0.483) on exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers in the region. Tigo
Baleh Public Health Center in Bukitinggi City. It is hoped that there will be an increase in the
support of health workers to carry out health promotion, so that when working mothers return to
work, these mothers already have preparations to continue to give exclusive breastfeeding so that
exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers will increase.
