ACPU Sdn. Bhd. fabricates various types of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and sells to local
machine tool manufacturer companies. It is estimated monthly demand for a dedicated PCB is
12,000 units. The average selling price of the PCB is RM225.00 per unit. A small warehouse
is used to store all the PCB components and subassemblies. Most of the PCB components are
outsourced from local suppliers. It takes 2 days to receive the components after the order is
placed. The ordering cost is about RM 20 per order. While the holding cost is estimated 1% of
the PCB unit price per year. This company works 20 days per month.

a) Determine optimum number of dedicated PCB should be ordered to minimize the annual
inventory cost.

b) Determine the minimum inventory stock level that trigger a new order should be placed.

c) Calculate the annual cost of managing the inventory.

d) Construct two inventory cycles showing the Economic Order Quantity, time between
orders, reorder point and lead time.

ACPU Sdn. Bhd. memasang dan menjual pelbagai jenis papan litar bercetak (PCB) kepada
syarikat pembuat alat mesin tempatan. Dianggarkan permintaan bulanan bagi PCB khas adalah
12,000 unit. Purata harga jualan PCB tersebut adalah RM 225.00 per unit. Sebuah gudang kecil
digunakan untuk menyimpan kesemua komponen dan subasembli PCB. Kebanyakan
komponen PCB diperolehi dari pembekal tempatan. Ia mengambil masa 2 hari untuk menerima
komponen selepas pesanan dibuat. Kos pesanan adalah kira-kira RM20 per pesanan. Sementara
kos simpan pula dianggarkan sebanyak 1% dari harga jual seunit PCB per tahun. Syarikat
beroperasi 20 hari per bulan.

a) Tentukan bilangan optimum PCB khas yang perlu di pesan untuk minimakan kos
inventori tahunan.

baru dibuat.
