The Future Tense and Going to Future

1. The Future Tense

Complement of time (adverb of time) dapat digunakan untuk future tense, seperti:
tomorrow, the day after, next month, the following day
Example:
 We will go to Casablanca next holiday.
(Kami akan pergi ke Casablanca liburan yang akan datang)
 She will visit her family in Boston tomorrow.
(Kami akan mengunjungi keluarganya di Boston Besok)

(+) You will ride to the hill tomorrow. (Mereka akan pergi ke bukit besok)
(- ) You will not (won’t) ride to the hill tomorrow.(Mereka akan pergi ke bukit besok)
(?) Will you ride to the hill tomorrow? (Akankah mereka pergi ke bukit besok?)

(+) I believe it will rain soon.

Saya percaya akan segera turun hujan.
(-) I believe it will not (won’t) rain soon.
Saya percaya tidak akan segera turun hujan.
(?) I believe will it rain soon?
Saya percaya akankah segera turun hujan?

(+) She will stay home tonight and watch TV.

Dia akan tinggal di rumah malam ini dan nonton TV.
(-) She will not (won’t) stay home tonight and watch TV.
Dia tidak akan tinggal di rumah malam ini dan nonton TV.
(?) Will she stay home tonight and watch TV?
Akankah dia tinggal di rumah malam ini dan nonton TV?

2. Going to Future
Complement of time (adverb of time) dapat digunakan untuk future tense, seperti:
tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, next year, the following day
Example:
 He is going to climb a mountain in China next month.(Dia akan mendaki gunung di Cina
bulan depan)
 They are going to prepare the wedding party the day after tomorrow.(Mereka sedang
mempersiapkan pesta pernikahan untuk lusa)

(+) They are going to wash their sport equipment.

Mereka akan mencuci peralatan olah raganya
(-) They are not going to their sport equipment.
Mereka tidak akan mencuci peralatan olah raganya
(?) Are they going to go their sport equipment?
Akankah mereka mencuci peralatan olah raganya?

(+) We are going to see Angela tonight.

Mereka akan bertemu Angela malam ini.
(-) We are not going to see Angela tonight.
Mereka tidak akan bertemu Angela malam ini.
(?) Are we going to see Angela tonight?
Akankah mereka bertemu Angela malam ini.

(+) They are going to move the factory to the suburb.

Mereka akan memindahkan pabrik ke pinggiran kota.
(-) They are not going to move the factory to the suburb.
Mereka tidak akan memindahkan pabrik ke pinggiran kota.
(?) Are they going to move the factory to the suburb?
Akankah Mereka memindahkan pabrik ke pinggiran kota?
