Listening Skill
In Listening Part A you will hear a short conversation involving two people; this
conversation is followed by a question. It is important to understand that the answer to
this type of question is more often (but not always) found in the second line of the
conversation.

Often the incorrect answers in Listening Part A are answers that contain words with
similar sounds but very different meanings from what you hear in the recording
program. You should definitely avoid these answers.

type of question the answer is not clearly stated; instead you must draw a conclusion
based on clues given in the conversation. One kind of conclusion that is common in
this part of the test is to ask you to determine: Who the speaker is, based on the clues
given in the conversation.

Skill 7: Listen for Negative Expressions (Perhatikan Ungkapan-ungkapan Kalimat
Negatif)
Negative expressions are very common in Listening part A, and the most common
kind of correct response to a negative statement is a positive statement containing a
word with an opposite meaning.
Ungkapan kalimat negatif sangat umum ditemukan dalam Listening Part A, dan bentuk

Dalam test TOEFL ITP bagian listening part A, bisa saja Anda akan menemukan
bentuk double negative expression dalam satu kalimat. Bentuk expression seperti
ini tentu saja akan membingungkan pagi peserta tes TOEFL.
Di bawah beberapa bentuk dari double negative yang bisa muncul dalam soal

Bentuk: negative word (e.g., not, no, none) and a negative prefix (e.g., in-, un-, dis-)
